Thor recognises the special responsibilities that the chemical industry has towards the environment and is committed to developing products and processes that are more environmentally friendly.

The Group has developed comprehensive environmental management systems. Our first priority is to minimise waste and so reduce the burden on the environment and wherever possible waste materials are recycled as primary raw materials.

All Thor products are manufactured under the ISO 9000 mark of quality and meet all existing and anticipated regulations stipulated by environmental authorities. However, our philosophy is not only to remain within these bounds, but also to be proactive in the setting of new and improved industry standards.

Thor places the highest priority on the health and safety of employees, customers and surrounding communities. Full-time occupational health personnel and a senior group medical practitioner ensure the maintenance of health procedures and facilities and the constant review and update of product health and safety data.
